for the worlds marine industry.
SPI NDT holds all certificates of approval in hull surveys, carrying out ride-on or static thickness surveys to all types of vessels in accordance with class rules. A thickness Survey can be carried out in Dry Docks, Harbours, Anchorage, and Shipyards or during ballast voyages.
SPI NDT enjoys a close relationship with P&O North Sea Ferries in Hull. SPI NDT looks after small annual tasks like ultrasonic thickness checks on overboard discharges or MPI (UV) testing on crank shafts, which are carried out in liaison with the vessels Chief Engineer. SPI NDT also undertakes larger projects; recently a full deck survey was completed when eight Technicians attended the vessel to compile a precise map of the deck to assist the fleet Superintendent.
